New Journey, New Focus - Bringing You Along

A Shift in Direction (But Not Purpose)
Yes, I’ll admit it—stopping this blog has crossed my mind more than once. 😅
From March 1st to 18th, I’ve been publishing daily (until my domain suddenly went down). I’ve written about everything from the limitations of inspirational quotes to our journey from Manila to Moncton. The content was good (at least I think so!🤣), but something felt… off.
Then it hit me. I was writing from a very generic place—sharing lessons without context, wisdom without the journey behind it. And that’s not really me.
So here’s the change: I’m shifting focus to write more about our experiences as immigrants in the Greater Moncton Area and more broadly in Canada, while still weaving in the personal development lessons I love talking about. Because honestly? Those lessons mean so much more when they’re grounded in real experiences.
It Was Never About the Money
Let’s be real—this blog has never been a moneymaker. And that’s perfectly fine! It’s always been about the journey, the connections, and having a creative outlet to share what I’m learning.
I still have my coaching clients. I still love talking about growth mindset, productivity, technology, and personal development. But I believe these topics become richer, more authentic, and more helpful when they’re wrapped in stories about real life.
What You Can Expect
So what does this mean for you, dear reader? You’ll get more posts about:
- Our adventures exploring Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview
- The unique challenges (and joys!) of building a life in Atlantic Canada
- The cultural shifts and “a-ha” moments that come with immigration
- And yes, still plenty of personal development insights—just with more context
If you’ve been following my recent posts like From Manila to Moncton: Our Canadian Journey or Our Tri-City Tide Adventure, you’ve already gotten a taste of this new direction. These stories about finding our place in New Brunswick and connecting through local basketball capture exactly the kind of authentic sharing I want to do more of.
A Note About This Newsletter
One more change: I won’t be sending every blog post to this mailing list. Instead, I’ll send a newsletter every weekend if I have new content to share. If I’ve written multiple posts that week, you’ll get a nice summary rather than separate emails for each one. This way, I can write whenever inspiration strikes without worrying about flooding your inbox.
So here’s to new beginnings, authentic sharing, and bringing you along on this adventure. After all, what’s the point of a journey if you can’t share it with others?
