Every Job, Every Business, Every Lesson

It’s Not About the Job Count—It’s About the Journey
“How many jobs have you had so far?”
I saw this trend a couple of months ago, and honestly, I found it a bit odd. Does it really matter?
At the end of the day, it’s not the number of jobs that counts—it’s the journey. The real question is: What have you learned along the way?
Personally, I’ve had 11+ jobs—including the businesses I started, the roles I took on, and even freelance consulting. Each one shaped me in ways I never expected. Some experiences showed me what I didn’t want to do, while others taught me invaluable lessons that still guide me today.
But if I had to pick what taught me the most, it wouldn’t be a traditional job—it would be the businesses I built from the ground up. The pain of failure was real, but so were the lessons. Running a business forced me to develop resilience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of people and leadership.
Freelance consulting also brought incredible insights, especially with Next Step, and I’ll share some of those lessons in future posts. For now, I just want to emphasize this: Instead of focusing on how many jobs you’ve had, celebrate the journey—every pivot, every lesson, and every step forward.
Here’s to what’s ahead! 🥂
