No is A-Okay!

No is A-Okay!

I once saw this on a friend’s post:

“Just because a family goes on vacations, drives a nice car, or enjoys good food doesn’t mean they have extra money to spare. They probably worked hard and made sacrifices to afford those things.

If they say no to a request, it’s not because they’re selfish—everyone has bills to pay and a life to sustain.”

I couldn’t agree more. But I’d add one more thing: even if they do have extra money, it’s still okay to say NO.

Saying no doesn’t make someone selfish, heartless, or mean. It just means they have their own priorities, and that’s completely valid. No explanation needed.

This isn’t about never helping—it’s about setting boundaries without guilt. A “no” doesn’t always mean selfishness. It means priorities, responsibilities, and personal choices.

So whether you’re the one saying no or on the receiving end of it—respect the choice. Because no is A-Okay!
